The paper and the corresponding talk present a project conducted by five universities to implement e-assesments in the state North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW, Germany) and its corresponding findings. We started with a questionnaire about the current status at our universities in NRW in 2014, found major challenges for a successful implementation and worked towards overcoming these challenges. Regarding the three dimensions of didactical, technical and legal issues we collected and documented good practices, developed formats for training and consulting and initiated a comprehensive report on legal aspects. In our paper and talk we concentrate on the measures we found most suitable to tackle the issues on a cooperative basis between universities. The project will end in summer 2018. A second survey in 2017 showed the development in NRW which is discussed, too.
